Service Description
Details
IAM creates Network ID (UNI) based on the information received from the different systems of record (like Human Resources, Student Information System, etc.). Based on system of origin, IAM assigns attributes (known as affiliations) to each UNI. These attributes translate to specific privileges like, directory listing, email account, library privileges (online and physical access), ID card and online access to other university systems like Courseworks, PeopleSoft, etc.
IAM feeds downstream applications like Lenel (Campus-wide Physical Security System), Blackboard (Housing and Dining dollars management software), LDAP (online directory), etc.
IAM group also manages the Lenel application. Lenel is the campus physical security application. ID card readers, surveillance cameras, panic alarms, freezer alarms, ID center card printers, and other resources are managed by Lenel.
