CUIT is happy to announce a service with Zoom video, a robust video conferencing solution, to faculty, researchers, and administrators of the university for the 2017-2018 school year.

Individual accounts
 
All personal or individual Zoom accounts are UNI authenticated. For this reason, only the email used for one’s UNI login will be associated with individual Zoom accounts.
 
Named accounts
 
Named, or shared accounts are available provided the email address used for the account has a Columbia-owned or Columbia affiliates-owned domain: e.g. *@columbia.edu, *@barnard.edu, etc. Named accounts will not be created for email addresses with domains outside Columbia and its affiliates. Customers are responsible for providing these addresses upon Zoom account request.

Zoom Basic Account
  • Faculty, researchers, administrators - No cost
  • Maximum length for group meetings is 40 minutes (one-on-one meetings are unlimited)
 
Zoom Pro Account
  • Faculty—(teaching and learning use cases) No cost
  • Administrators—$25/account/year
  • Research—No cost
  • Unlimited duration for all meeting sizes
Additional Zoom Products—(require Pro license)
  • Large Meeting 300—$400/instance/year
  • Webinar 500—$1400/instance/year
  • Cloud room connector—$499/instance/year
